Co-Captain

Last week was another intense week of practice. We had athletic training two times. It was a hard workout but at least I'm not as sore afterwards. Next weekend will be the true test as we open up against BG Illateral. Hopefully we will have a nice crowd to support us. Personally, I can't wait to put on my uniform and lace up the shoes. I know there will be a lot of adrenaline flowing but it's time for business. All of our hard work in pre-season will be put to the test. 

I'm still undecided about the team because we haven't played enough basketball together to draw a conclusion. I do think we have a lot of potential to surprise teams though. We have a good group of guys so I think that will carry us through, but our ability to gel together on the court will be the X-factor. There needs to be a level of trust amongst us on the court, which should come with time. 

On another note, I have been selected to be Co-Captain of the 2010/11 Holiday Check Baskets. It's an honor for me to be an outsider, meaning non-German, to even be considered for a leadership position. I think it says a lot about my person for something like this to happen. I accepted the role and plan to lead the team to success this season.
