Game 2 (Perry Lakes Hawks vs. Gero Buccs)

Game 2 of the finals saw the Gero Buccs with our backs against the wall. We were in a must win situation playing in front of our home crowd. It turned out to be a very nice size crowd at that. The game was intense from start to finish as the Hawks tried to intimidate us with their physical/illegal play. Is it still illegal if the call isn't being made? Anyway, the officiating was a little bit better but still managed to be inconsistent. We as a team did our best to not let if affect us and just play through it. Fortunately, we were victorious in this regard and ended up winning the game by 13 points.
Jason Harris played a phenomenal game making play after play after play after play. He was very poised and relaxed. He went on to score a game high 34pts and even dished out some point guard like passes.
There was an incident worth noting that occurred between Joe-Allen Tupea, the Hawks point guard, and myself. Late in the game Joe-Allen was pressuring me as he played defense. He was getting away with some cheap shots the whole game so I decided to retaliate. OH yeah, I was 1 foul away from being fouled out of the game, by the way. So I was holding on to the ball and swung it from my right side to my left. As taught, I chinned the ball and had my elbows out for protection and he happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He fell to the floor and I went on to score a lay up. I then proceeded to run down to the other end and here comes Joe-Allen out of no where with a football style hit and flattened me. Then my teammates ran over and his teammates ran over and technical fouls were issued and even a few people got ejected. Lucky for us it was late in the game and we were able to finish the game off with a win to even the series up 1-1
